How QBs can beat their competition whether it is in a camp or in practice is by doing the following... 1) stay in your lane. Don’t worry about what the competition is doing, worry about what you have to do each rep to be successful. If you keep looking over your shoulder at what other QBs are doing, it distracts from your job. Focus on your game and what you need to do to get better. 2) Take it one play at a time. If you have a bad rep you need to flush it, if you have a good rep, you need to flush it. Don’t get caught up in past throws, that distracts you from the goal at hand. Especially the bad ones, if you keep thinking about a bad throw you did it stays in your mind and your whole performance is effected negatively. 3) Having a high football IQ separates you. I can’t tell you how many times when I work with my own QBs or QBs at a camp that a QB has no idea how to read coverages. It is a breath of fresh air as a coach when you have a QB who understand defenses and who can read coverages. When you are lost mentally you will be lost physically, maybe you can get away with it in high school off of just sheer talent but in college you won’t get away with it. You need to be able to read defenses and diagnose what beats those defenses. If you want to get better at reading coverages checkout the link below! ⬇️⬇️
