The 40 is extremely technical. Your exact time doesn’t matter as much as you think. I think showcasing speed in a live game in full pads is more important. These are just numbers to gauge where you are at & see how you stack up to other players your age.
QB- 9th: 5.2 10th: 5.0
WR/DB- 9th: 4.9 10th: 4.8
RB- 9th: 5.0 10th: 4.9
TE- 9th: 5.3 10th: 5.1
LB- 9th: 5.3 10th: 5.1
OL/DL- 9th: 5.6 10th: 5.4
