We will be discussing the average height for skill players at the freshman level but will also be discussing what to work on if you're undersized.
Height doesn't mean you can't play a certain position. You just need to know how to compete as a shorter guy.
QB: 5'7
(Work on quick release, reading defenses, speed & pocket footwork if short)
RB: 5'5
(Work on putting on size, explosive as & your cuts if undersized)
WR: 5'6
short)
(Work on speed, route running & catching if you are
DB: 5'6
(Work on speed and technique if short)
LB: 5'8
(Work on building size & tackling skills/lateral explosiveness if short)
