Below we will be discussing the average squat & power clean maxes for football players based on position at the varsity level. Please do not stress if you’re not at this level you just need to keep working and continue to focus on good form. Max lifts don’t make you a great football player. Strength is important and can help you be one- but don’t start ego lifting to hit these numbers and hurt yourself if you’re not there yet. This is just a good baseline.
QB- Squat:335 Power Clean:245
WR/DB- Squat:315 Power Clean:225
RB- Squat:365 Power Clean:265
LB- Squat:375 Power Clean:275
TE- Squat:385 Power Clean:275
OL/DL- Squat:395 Power Clean:275
