Below we will be DISCUSSING WHAT POSITIONS 7th & 8th GRADERS SHOULD PLAY BASED ON HEIGHT & WEIGHT. I hope this is able to help!

QB- I would say height wise average is around 5’5-5’8

But at the end of the day QBs need to have the skills to play the position. Size is less of a factor if you can be a great QB.


RB- 5’3-5’6 but on the heavier side of things.


WR- 5’3-5’6 but on the lighter side of things. Skinniest guys on the team usually.


TE- 5’7-5’10

Tallest guys on the team but thinner and more athletic than linemen.


DB- same size as receivers but generally don’t have the best hands.


Safety-5’5-5’7

But a little heavier than DBs


LB- 5’6-5’8

Heavier than running backs but not as fast as them.


OL/DL- Tallest & heaviest guys on the team.

Generally slower than the TEs.
