BIGGEST SCAMS IN COLLEGE RECRUITING

Today we will be discussing one of the biggest scams out there in college football recruiting. This is something I was unaware of as a player and I wish I knew it. I hope this can help!

Also, if you are a QB or a WR watching this video and would like a custom workout plan made by me for you, checkout the link below! You will be able to send me game film, practice film or training film and I will analyze the film/give you audio & video feedback. Then, we will make an 8 week custom workout plan on the gym/on the field for you to do, based on the weaknesses in your film! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

I don’t expect many of you to know this, because it’s not a well known thing, but there are hundreds of other players out there that will PAY for a scholarship offer. It is a total scam and I want to explain to you how colleges, recruiting agents and just total scumbags get away with this kind of thing. So you see it everyday on X (formerly known as Twitter) or Instagram… there is some “recruiting guru” who can help get you to the next level. I live in Southern California- a big football market- and there seems to be one of these guys on every corner. These guys will charge thousands of dollars to help players get “exposure”… and that’s fine, it’s their business… they can charge what they want. But the deliverable of their promise is what pisses me off and what you need to know about. I’ll give a first hand example. There is a guy in Orange County in California where I live.. I won’t name names but let’s call him “John B”. So essentially what he does is that he will charge a family $5,000 for his recruiting services. He then will take $2,000 or some other dollar figure from that $5k and pay an assistant college coach on a coaching staff to give one of his “prospects” a verbal offer. So he just profited $3k and looks like a saint to the parents. And it’s funny, all of his “prospects” have the same offers. That’s weird? Also, Not a bad profit margin huh? Until it all blows up and the athlete doesn’t even get a call back from the school when he wants to commit or sign. Because it was never a real offer and the coaching staff doesn’t even know of him. There are a couple of things wrong with this scenario. 1)- An assistant coach doesn’t have the power to give an offer without clearing it with the head coach or a coordinator. So if you’ve never spoken with this coach and he just offered you out of thin air, it’s most likely BS. 2)- It’s a verbal offer, literally doesn’t mean anything. I could offer to give you a million dollars right now… but it’s verbal, so I actually don’t have to. Do you see what I’m saying? So why do I write this? I write this to inform you of the fact that don’t believe everything you see on social media and don’t give some Joe Blow off the side of the street a couple thousand dollars because he will “help you get exposure”. If something seems off or too good to be true… it is. In college, the best guys play. The best guys get the real offers. So if you see some kid who’s not the best getting all of this attention… usually too good to be true. Trust your gut and keep working. Don’t buy into the hype and remember this article if you ever get approached by one of these scumbag recruiting street agents. Are they all bad? Eh probably not, but I’ve never met a college coach (and I’ve met a lot) who gives these people respect. Focus on developing and dominating during the season. You can’t fake it in football. At the end of the day, the film doesn’t lie.
