How Committed Are You?

How hard do you have to work? There isn’t a set answer. Everyone is different. But I think the main thing is, how committed are you? Are you willing to sacrifice certain things in order to acheive your goals?

A lot of successful people don’t waste their time on things that won’t get them better. I’m talking about athletes. Lebron James spends 1 million dollars on himself to have a special nutritionist and other coaches around him 24/7. That is sacrifice. And that is why he is the best in the world At what he does. Those guys make investments in themselves to get better. Now I am assuming you don’t have a million dollars to throw around so the investment you can make is time. You need to sacrifice your time. Getting better and working hard should always come first. I don’t care what the circumstances are. How committed are you to getting better? Some people would rather go have a great time with the boys instead of get better and that’s why we will pass them up. The hardest worker in the room will always rise to the top. When you look at your day, break it down hour by hour, you realize how much time you have. All you need is maybe 2-4 hours a day. That’s all. That’s not that hard. They say it takes 1,000 hours of work to break bad habits and 10,000 hours to master something. Now let’s figure this, if you put in 3 hours a day 7 days a week it would take you 9 years to master something. Now I’m not saying 3 hours of working out, you can do film study, playbook etc. but it will take you 9 years. If you do 6 hours everyday, it will take you 4.5 years to master a skill. It’s all about the work you put in and the hours you put in. Nothing more, nothing less. There is no excuse to not be the hardest worker in the room.
