So we get this question a lot, “coach I weigh xyz pounds- is that enough for xyz position”. So we wanted to make this to show you averages for each position. Weight isn’t as important as you think but it can play a role in strength & being able to take hits at certain positions. If you’re under these averages, below we have a video that can give you a perfect strategy to gain weight. It’s very easy to follow. These numbers will be based off of freshman in high school.



QB- 135lbs


WR/DB- 125lbs


RB- 145lbs


LB- 155lbs


Safeties- 135lbs


TE- 170lbs


OL/DL- 190-200lbs+
