How To Get Ready For A Big Game

How to get mentally prepared for a big game can be difficult if you don’t know what to do. A lot of people say “it’s just another game” but my mindset has never been a pretending one. If that works for you, by all means but I want my game to elevate when it’s a big game and I think you should treat all games like that. All games are big games not the other way around. How you prepare for that is to focus on doing your job and your job only. Football is the ultimate team sport, you got 10 other guys on the field with you. The trouble I see a lot of guys get into is they always try to do it all themselves “I gotta do xyz...” but it’s “we” not I. Focus on doing your 1/11th. Your coaches put together a game-plan to execute and if every player does their job to the best of their ability they will be successful. Bottom line. 11 guys working together is a tough to beat. So ignore the noise of a “big game” and focus. Focus is the word of the day when it’s game day.
