How To IMPROVE CONFIDENCE

Grant Caraway

Below we will be giving you 3 tips to improve your confidence in practice or a game setting this season. I hope this can help!

Also if you would like 75+ on field drills & on field workouts you can do to get faster, checkout the link below! We include the exact sets & reps to do & we put the drills into workout schedules so it is easy to follow ⬇️⬇️

1)- Take it one rep at a time. Lack of confidence can sometimes stem from anxiety. You are worrying about too much. At the end of the day all you can control is what you can control- so only focus on that. Let’s say you’re a QB- you can’t control the WR dropping a pass- so why worry about it? All you need to focus on is your job. Making the right read and delivering an accurate ball that is on time. Yes, there is obviously more to it than that- but that’s all you should be thinking about. And if you know your job better than anybody on the field- you should be more confident than ever.

2)- Don’t be afraid to fail. Failure is inevitable. A lot of guys lack confidence because they are afraid of what might happen if they fail. It’s all an illusion. You need the mindset that failure, especially in a practice setting, is good. How do you get better at a video game? By being really bad at first & getting destroyed in whatever game you’re playing. Whether that’s Madden, Call of Duty etc. But you needed those experiences to make you a better player. Same idea in football- you wouldn’t learn if you didn’t screw up. So don’t be afraid of that, especially in practice.

3)- Don’t compare yourself to others. A lot guys compare themselves to other people- whether that’s players on their team or players on different teams and comparison is the thief of joy. Everyone is at a different point in their football career. Some might develop later, some might develop earlier. Don’t let someone else’s journey affect the way you approach the game. Keep tunnel vision and focus on how you can improve & get better. Again it all ties back into focusing on what you can control.
