When it comes down to QB competitions there are a few things that QBs need to remember, whether you are competing for a week in camp or throughout the entire off season you need to focus on putting your team in the best position to win games. That’s plain and simple. Put the teams success over your own personal success. Play selfless. A coach is going to put the best 11 on the field, and yes I know there is politics but eventually his hand will be forced. Especially if you are a college player, in high school things can get political because coaches don’t need to feed their family with high school coaching money, in college they do. So there is obviously a different dynamic, however that’s not an excuse. Continue to focus on the task at hand and that is winning every play. The goal everytime you break the huddle or get set is to have a positive play, that’s what you need to focus on. Dont focus on what the other QB is doing or how he’s playing, focus on your game and how you can win. Now what you need to do to get to this point is kill yourself in the off season from the amount of work you put in. If your mechanics are flawed or IQ is bad, you physically can’t just focus on your job because you have so many other things to worry about, if you want a full step by step guide as to how you can improve your throwing mechanics with specific technical points, drills and game film examples, click the link below! ⬇️⬇️
