How To Win A Starting Job

The off season is the time to win a starting job. How can you do that? It comes from your work ethic. I get this question a lot and I say the same answer every time. You gotta  be the hardest worker in the room. There is no way around it. A lot of guys ask me like there is some magic formula to beat someone out because they don’t want to do the work. You already know what you have to do. You don’t want to do the work so you’re looking for some short cut. There is no short cut. You need to put in the work. Everything your competition is doing, do more. And I’ll hear all the excuses like oh I have homework and what ever else. And yes that’s important but everyone gets the same 24 hours. You need to work. Get your priorities straight. Do you actually want to start or do you just say you want to because that’s what everyone thinks you want. Put in the work.
