Wide Receivers in the weight room should be focusing on a few things. They shouldn’t be training like offensive linemen. They should be training like receivers obviously! So what should you be focused on building? Explosiveness, grip strength, leg strength, and core strength. Those are the core aspects of a WRs physical game. Obviously you need to work on upper body strength as well but I think those 4 things should be primary when it comes to performance on the field. If you improve those 4 things, your catching ability will improve, route running will improve, blocking, and overall play at receiver will dramatically increase.
