If you are a junior on JV, you are not doomed. It will be hard to play college football however it is extremely possible. I recommend following these 5 steps.
1)- Make an X account. You should make the account to connect with college coaches. You have no film to send them but you can contact them and ask them if they have camps in the summer that you can attend.
2)- Go & perform at those camps. If coaches like you they will ask if you have film. You obviously don’t, so you should tell them that you will this year & will send it to them. Periodically message them to update them on things like max lifts, your record during the season or any good games you have.
3)- Grind. You really have to push yourself this off season. The goal is to be dominant on varsity. There is no substitute for that. With one year of film, you need to make it clear you belong playing in college.
4)- Send coaches tour mid season highlights after the first 5 games of your senior year.
5)- Send coaches your full highlight tape when the season ends.
This process doesn’t guarantee you an offer but it makes the odds of you receiving one much more likely. Don’t wait for a coach to find you. Be active & this is what you have to do if your goal is to play in college with only one year of film.
