Below we will be discussing the most important lifts for high school WRs & what your max should be on some of the lifts. I hope this is able to help!

Three most important things for receivers to work on in the gym are leg strength, explosiveness and stability (sometimes balance too). So below we will be discussing what some lifts are that can help you work on that! I hope this can help!
Squats (great for leg strength)- recommended max is above 315lbs in HS
Pause Squats (you essentially pause halfway- no need to worry about a max- but this is great for explosiveness)
Jump Squats (go only 1/4th down & explode up- no need to worry about a max)
Split Squats (great for single leg strength & stability if you do them heel elevated -no need to worry about a max)
Power Cleans (great for explosiveness- max should be anywhere above 225lbs in my eyes)
Plyometrics (great for explosiveness- these are box jumps and things of that nature)
Any upper body exercise that involves explosion (2 that come to mind are pause reps on bench & banded push ups)
