Everyone knows the big football states like California, Florida, Texas & Georgia have talent, but what are some of the underrated states that don’t get enough attention. These are my top 5.
5)- Alabama. I didn’t believe it until I went. So much talent comes from Alabama. The south is obviously a different breed of football, so you can make this argument for any southern state. But Alabama I think has just as much talent as Georgia per capita. Obviously Georgia has more collectively because more people live there.
4)-Louisiana. Only reason they aren’t higher on my list is because I’ve never personally been. But the amount of people from Louisiana that are in the NFL is ridiculous.
3)- Utah. So much good football out in Utah. Constantly produce D1 prospects.
2)- DMV (DC, Maryland Virginia) - I know that’s 3 states but the general area where all 3 states are close together have a ton of talent. One of the most talented group of kids I’ve ever worked with. Look up how many WRs & DBs have come from there
1)- Ohio. Anytime I go to Ohio, the athletes are insanely talented, focused and very big for their age groups. A ton of talent comes out of Ohio.
