A lot of times you hear people saying “oh I’m workin” or “I’m hustling” but what does that really mean? Personally I think if you have time to talk about how hard you are working, you aren’t working hard enough. True hustle and work ethic means that it is everything you do and everything you think about. And some of you probably disagree and that’s fine, but like I’ve said before, there is no excuse to not be the hardest worker in the room. No excuse at all. So for those of you who don’t think that is true, wait until you get passed up by the hardest worker in the room who makes it his entire life to get better. I’m not saying don’t have fun but I know a lot of you have goals to play college ball and the NFL, which is cool I’m not knocking that but you can’t have $100 goals with a $2 work ethic. It’s just not going to work. I don’t care how bad you want it. You have to work. I don’t care how talented you think the people who have made it happen are, no excuse, they earned it. They either worked harder than you in the off season or worked harder on the field. Period. That’s how you get to where you want to be. If you truly believe in it. Everyone wants to play football for forever but a lot of guys have other priorities. You need to decide what’s important to you. That’s the true definition of hustle.
