Below we will be discussing WHY STARS ARE BS FOR YOUTH PLAYERS. I hope this is able to help!
Also we just released the first 3 cities we will be attending for our QB/WR camps in 2026! We will be coming to San Francisco CA, Orlando FL, & Phoenix AZ! For early sign up access checkout the link below! All camps will be sold out by the end of October! ⬇️⬇️
So something I’ve seen a lot lately on social media is 12,13 year old kids being “ranked” with “stars”. It’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen in my opinion.
1)- They most likely had to pay for that ranking. Whether they pay to be a member of a website or pay to attend some camp- the ranking would not have happened without some form of financial transaction. So the ranking is tainted.
2)- The people making the rankings do not help you whatsoever. What do they help with? Like honestly? No 12 year old kid is going to be recruited by a college because of their “stars”. Colleges can’t even legitimately offer a kid until the summer before their junior year. Key word is legitimate. You can get a verbal offer at 5 years old, but like seriously guys- it’s not real. It’s verbal so the college isn’t tied to it & likely it’s just a favor the coach is doing for their dad whenever you see this kind of crap. Don’t buy into it. How many NFL players do you hear of who got an offer at 12? Exactly. ITS NOT REAL. Also no high school coach even cares about a kids ranking. They care if they can help the team win.
So why do I write this? Is it to make fun? No. It’s to save you time and money. When you get some camp “inviting” you to an “exposure” camp saying your son can get ranked… please understand it’s a waste of your time & money. Nobody cares. Literally nobody. It won’t help with recruiting & it won’t help with high school. So why do it? Use your resources towards things that will actually make them a better player.
