WR 40 Time & Gym Maxes To Play D1 Ball

Grant Caraway

So here is the thing, please don’t think that if you don’t have one of these attributes listed that you cannot play college football. I’m always going to keep it real with you guys, the EXACT numbers you have do not matter. A college coach won’t say “oh he only benches 200 not 225 so we aren’t going to offer him”. They care about so much more than your testing numbers. I’m going to give you a range of numbers below that you should aim for. This will elevate your chances of playing at the next level but please don’t put a lot of weight on yourself by trying to achieve this. Colleges will get you stronger & faster when you get there. But if you can hit in this range, you will have a higher chances of playing college ball if your field play can back it up. This also DOES NOT mean that you shouldn’t work hard in the gym. You absolutely should but be more concerned with performance and getting stronger than maxes.

40 Time- (4.7-below)

Bench Max (175-above) (bench is not that important for WRs)

Squat Max (255-above)

Power Clean Max (205-above)

Now it’s not just about the physical attributes to play college football. It is also about what you can accomplish on the field skill wise. You need to run smooth routes, catch every ball, create separation, beat press and the list goes on and on. If you guys would like an 8 week ON FIELD WR workout plan with over 200+ drills, with video examples of each one, checkout the link below! ⬇️⬇️
