Below we will be giving you 8 tips for your first season of tackle. I hope this can help!

Also, if you guys would like an 8 week WR workout schedule with WR specific gym exercises and an on field training schedule (Monday-Sunday) checkout the link below! We give you the exact sets & reps to follow and a video example of each exercise/drill. ⬇️⬇️

)- Train with pads and a helmet on. Go buy a cheap pair at a store just so you can get used to having to move around and perform your responsibilities with extra weight.

)- Condition with pads & a helmet on. Nothing like conditioning in the middle of August wearing full gear. I recommend doing this so you can get used to it.

)- Train with a partner and have him give you contact on drills. This will help you get used to contact the best you can. He can hit you with a blocking pad or something of that nature.

)- Don’t compare yourself to other guys. Some guys will have more experience than you. Totally fine, but don’t play the comparison game. You will get discouraged. Stay in your lane and focus on getting 1% better everyday.

)- Don’t miss practice. A lot of dudes miss practices because they don’t take it as serious or don’t know how serious you need to take tackle football. Coaches expect you to be at everything.

)- Hydrate. You are going to sweat a lot more during tackle football in contrast to flag. Make sure you are trying to drink a gallon of water everyday, that’s at least what I recommend.

)- Get sleep. Your body will be sore. You will be tired. There is no better form of recovery than sleep.

)- Have intent at practice. Practice is going to suck. It’s gonna be hot, you’re going to want to just take it easy and just “get through it”. Don’t make that mistake. You are at practice to get better so that’s what you need to focus on.
