2 Tips For Smaller WRs vs. Press

2 Tips for small WRs to create some separation off the line are the following: you need to have a plan and you need to understand range. Just make sure you have a plan when you are coming out of the huddle. Going into the game you should prepare like a professional. Have an idea of what releases you are going to use in each situation vs each coverage that you will face. Now obviously it’s more than just having a plan but you wouldn’t believe how many receivers have no idea what to do in a certain situation. When I talk about range I mean using a bigger DB or LBs size to your advantage. Use a slide release or a hesitation wide step to stay out of their range if you know they like to be physical. Avoid and then get upfield. Simple as that, force them to make a decision. Slide into a range where they either have to come at you or try to stay discipline and watch your hips. That’s how you can set traps for a DB. If you want a full video on all of the press releases you can use that will be effective and each situation to use them, click the link below! ⬇️⬇️
