We get a lot of messages from different high school Wide Receivers asking if they are tall enough to play the position so below we are going to give you the average heights for high school WRs based on your grade. I hope this can help!

Also, if you play WR and would like a 2 month daily workout schedule to follow, checkout the link below! We give you 8 weeks of field route running workouts (sets & reps/video examples included), 8 weeks of WR specific gym workouts (sets/reps/examples includes) and a 1 Month speed development workout plan to do. Check it out here ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Now guys, if you don’t fit the “averages” listed in this article. Don’t panic. There are 3 things that you want to improve on if you are a shorter WR. 1)- Speed (can’t be short & slow) 2)- Route Running (need to get open)  3)- Catching (most important part of our job). If you are the best on the field at these three areas listed… you will play. Your height won’t matter.

Freshman- 5’6-5’11

Sophomores- 5’8-6’0

Juniors-5’9-6’1

Seniors- 5’10-6’2

-Reason why the range is so wide is that you can also play slot. You should play both slot and outside WR because you never know if you will stop growing and you will be asked to play slot at the next level. I hope this was able to help!
