Below we will be discussing the best positions to play for youth football based on size. I hope this is able to help!
Also we just released the first 3 cities we will be attending for our QB/WR camps in 2026! We will be coming to San Francisco CA, Orlando FL, & Phoenix AZ! For early sign up access checkout the link below! All camps will be sold out by the end of October! ⬇️⬇️
QB- Honestly I don’t feel your size and attributes matter that much when talking about QB play. If you can throw the ball accurately, with arm strength and can make good decisions I feel QB is the right spot for you.
WR/DB- If you are a shorter guy & on the thinner side of things for your age- but have speed, you should play slot receiver. If you’re taller & have average height or good height for your age but still thin & some speed- play outside receiver.
For DBs all of the same attributes apply but if you have bad hands- DB is for you.
Safety- Same attributes as DBs but a little bit thicker & slower.
RB/LB- Shorter guys & stalky guys should play running back or linebacker. If you have more speed than average, play running back.
TE- Taller players who have good athleticism & hands.
OL/DL- Taller players who are the heaviest on the team should play line. If you have more speed at your size, play defensive line
