Being a student of the game takes time and dedication. You need to love football not just what football can do for you. The guys who are the best at what they do without the most physical talent are huge students of the game. The best examples I can think of are Peyton Manning and Richard Sherman. Both are not the most physically talented guys in the world but their football IQ makes up for it.
