How To Cut 20 lbs This Off Season

If you are on the bigger side, and you need to lose 20 lbs this off season keep reading this. I think the big mistake that athletes make is their diet. Especially when you are young, if you can change up your diet you are going to see massive results. After I was done playing football I wanted to cut down in weight and get leaner. What I did was, I stopped eating bread and sugar. Obviously I cheat every now and then, but 99% of the time if you don’t eat bad carbs like bread (yes bread can be bad for you), processed foods (no more McDonalds) and cut out sugar (candy, desserts etc.) you will have a much cleaner diet and also feel better. Now if you need to lose weight fast, I would suggest cutting out carbs and sugar all together. I don’t believe in that but that’s the quickest way to lose weight, but you’re going to have a huge drop in energy and that’s not good for athletes. Now all of this doesn’t matter if you don’t lift correctly. Having high intensity workouts with low rest time is essential to your fat loss.
