Is NCSA A Waste?

Grant Caraway

Below we will be discussing if NCSA is a waste of time and money. I hope this can bring you some insight on some of the best uses of your time and money with the recruiting process.

So I would assume if you are reading this, you have seen some of our content on social media whether that is Instagram, YouTube or TikTok. And we have been making content for a long time. We have amassed the biggest social media following in the football space when it comes to training across all platforms. Reason I bring this up is because throughout that process, I have had the privilege to meet a lot of college coaches. And I have gotten the privilege to pick their brains on certain topics. Recruiting services like NCSA for example are always one of my most frequently asked topics. And all college coaches I have spoken to say the exact same thing… WE DON’T USE IT. So if you don’t trust what I always say about NCSA, trust what they say.

Now, this is what the recruiting service pitch is usually to athletes. If you sign up for our services, we will make you a profile and your profile will be seen by all of the college coaches that are on our platform. Now again, if college coaches don’t use the platform… then what are you paying all of this money for. But I know what some of you are thinking reading this “well coach I got invited to all of these camps because of NCSA so those schools use it”. And while maybe some do- it’s likely they just sent out a massive spam email to everyone on the platform and “invited” them to spend $200. An invite is not an invitation to spend money. An invitation is usually a free attendance. And likely- I cannot confirm this but if you read the terms and conditions of their website- you agree to them giving your info to people when you make a profile. So it’s likely that they could take your info and sell it to the colleges and the colleges are paying for a list of emails so they can get people to sign up for their summer camps. Which is a BIG source of income for those smaller D3/D2 schools who don’t have big donor money. So honestly, I personally think it’s a waste of your time.  I’ve never met a college coach who says they use it and get value from it. Also, why would a college coach waste their time? You’re telling me when colleges spend hundreds of thousands of dollars flying coaches all over the country that they are going to use some website and scroll through thousands of accounts to see if players have what it takes? Probably not- they have Twitter for that. Also what pisses me off is that they try to get kids who DONT EVEN HAVE VARSITY FILM yet to sign up for a thousand dollar + profile. What if the kid ends up being bad? They have no clue if the kid will be bad because he doesn’t have film. But they will sit on the phone and talk with you for an hour about how they can help you get recruited without even knowing you. That should say something about a recruiting service. If they take anybody and everybody… it’s probably not the most credible group to people who are offering 6-figure plus scholarships.

Also, in 2025 we are coming out to 15 more cities for QB/WR skill camps!
