WRs should watch film because it’s important to be a 2nd QB on the field. You need to be on the same page as your QB because that’s how you are going to get the ball. The QB likes throwing to guys he can trust. If you are constantly on the same page, recognizing coverages and holes in the defense, you will get the ball more. You should understand coverages because that tells you the weakness in the defense. Cover 4: the weakness is underneath, so if you have a fade maybe tell your QB you’re gonna settle down at about 10 yds rather than cover yourself with your route. You need to be a student of the game as much as you work on your footwork.
