3 Off Season QB Tips

QBs in the off season need to be focus on a couple of things, 1) QBs need to focus on their mechanics in the early months of the off season. December-March should be focused on building great habits and making sure that you have the proper mechanics to be an efficient passer. 2) In the months April-August you should be focused on off platform throws and putting yourself in uncomfortable situations when you throw. This is something very rare to see in QBs. QBs just typically throw the routes vs. air and they always have their feet set. Hate to break it to you, but about 85% of the time you are going to have to move around in the pocket off your prescribed 3 step and a hitch. So get comfortable with it so when you get to pads you can hit the ground running. 3) All year round QBs should be in the classroom studying defenses and improving their football IQ.
