Below we will be discussing what position you should play based on your height & weight, I hope this is able to help!
Also, if you are a WR or would like to play WR we have an 8 week summer gym & field workout schedule that you can follow! We give you video examples of each exercise/drill and the exact sets & reps to do! If you’d like to take your WR skills to the next level, checkout the link below ⬇️⬇️⬇️
So we are going to base this off of freshman & JV football player attributes. If you are not a freshman or JV player- you can use this almost as a projection. If you think you will be this big- this is generally where you’d want to play if you’re struggling with a position.
QB- Honestly I don’t really want to give an answer here. Just because it takes a lot more than height or weight to play the position. You need to be a pretty damn good QB. If you can throw, have arm strength, good accuracy, understand plays & can read defenses- I think QB is a good spot for you.
WR- 5’5-5’10 (on the lighter side of things- like 150lbs or less)
DB- Same attributes as WRs- but you don’t have the best hands
Safety- Same attributes as DBs- but heavier side of things like 155-170lbs- but more athletic than a LB
RB- 5’5-5’10 (heavier side of things like 165-185lbs but decently athletic)
LB- Same attributes as RBs but not as athletic.
TE- 5’9-6’0+ (heavier side of things like 170lbs+)
OL/DL- 5’10+ (200lbs or more)
