1)-2 in 1 pads (twoinoneshoulderpads.com)

I think these are some of the best pads invented. You essentially put on a flack jacket and then a carbon fiber plate over the flack jacket. So it’s two pieces of equipment to make a shoulder pad. It is not attached. However, it feels like you aren’t even wearing pads. You have crazy mobility, can touch your hands over your head etc.

Only downside is they are a little pricy. Below we will give you some alternatives that are on the cheaper side.

2)- Rawlings SRG Pads

I am not sure if they make these anymore, but these are the pads that I wore when I played. I used to train with somebody who trained with Drew Brees in my playing career. And he recommended these to me because Drew Brees recommended these to him. Best decision I had ever made as far as equipment goes. If you can find these, they are very affordable. Highly highly recommend. 

3)- X-Tech QB Pads (xtechpads.com)

These are very good pads. Great mobility and they are comfortable. I believe they fit these to each player if you customize them on their site. It’s very individualized.

Again, these are on the pricy side of things but a lot of the QBs that I train wear these. And they all love them.
