Football players need to condition differently than other athletes. Football is a very stop and go game. Not a lot of football players need to be running miles on end because that’s not what you do in a football game. You should be working sprints and any kind of quick burst workouts to be in the best football shape. Not running 6 miles in the morning. Also sprinting for longer periods of time is great for football players. It improves your recovery time and endurance obviously so when the 4th quarter hits, you are prepared to explode on each play.
