QBs are probably the most important players on the field at all times and it requires a ton of confidence to play this position. If you don’t have confidence you can’t play. How you develop your confidence, especially during the season, is through your preparation and self talk. Being able to talk yourself through situations positively will get you through the hard days of being a QB. Days where you can’t complete a pass or make a correct read need to be embraced and forgotten. Learn from it and get better. Always have that positive voice in the back of your head telling you that you’re prepared and that you’re ready. Now false confidence is a very real thing if you don’t put in the work. If you don’t work hard, study defenses and your playbook, and approach each week already prepared, you are giving yourself false hope. That’s something QBs cannot have. If you are falsely telling yourself you are the best when you haven’t done any work, you will get discouraged and fail. Do the work and have a positive self talk and energy. Confidence also comes from knowing your opponent. If you want to learn how QBs can understand coverages and be better prepared for each game, click the link below! ⬇️⬇️
