How To Improve Your Get Offs

How you can get more explosive off the line is by doing these two things... try to have 70% percent of your weight on your front foot and don’t be too wide with your base. If you keep 70% on the front leg, you can really drive out and explode. That will allow you to “push” off the front leg and really rip into the route. Also, it gives you stability/balance when you are in a situation vs press. Secondly, as I said before, you don’t want to be too wide with your base. It’s common to see a lot of guys with their back foot way behind them and their base is split, you need to close your back foot down because if you’re too wide you will automatically take a false step. These will help you get more explosive off the line, now that will only take you so far. You have to work on your explosiveness and speed/burst to improve this dramatically.
