Is JUCO Football For Me?
“Is JUCO right for me?” That’s a question that a lot of athletes ask themselves this time of year and in the summer because they aren’t sure if they should go. Me personally, I think JUCO is a great option for all athletes and honestly students even. If you can’t afford to walk on to a university and pay full tuition JUCO is perfect for you. It’s also perfect for the guy who doesn’t have a lot of high school film. JUCO is a great opportunity to get film. I wish I would’ve played JUCO ball instead of going to a smaller college right off the bat. But the thing you need to know about JUCO ball is that you need to be tough. It’s not like high school, it’s a job, and to be honest with you nobody really cares about winning. They want to win because it’s good exposure but all they want to do is get a scholarship. It’s not like Last Chance U. It is tough. There are no cameras. It can be miserable but if you’re focused and have thick skin you can use JUCO as a great platform to boost your football career.
