3 Things WRs Should Look For In DBs

When you come up to the line there are 3 specific things I teach my WRs to look for in a DB and how they are playing you. I teach them to look at their eyes number one. Are they looking at you or at the QB? This determines if it’s man or zone, now they can obviously disguise that but it gives you an idea of what to look for. Secondly I teach them to look to the safeties. How are they playing? How many are there? What is their leverage? This can tell you about the coverage and how the DB is going to play you. Lastly I tell them to look at how the DB is playing man coverage if he is in it. Is he pressed up and going to be physical? Is he in a catch technique? Or is he in off man? This can determine what release you will use and how to structure your route. If you want to learn exactly what those releases are to beat any kind of DB in any coverage they throw at you, click the link below! ⬇️⬇️
