Obviously a few variables can determine this, but this is generally what you should shoot for as a varsity level player in high school.


QBs- Wouldn’t worry about it at all. Bench press could potentially be the worst exercise for your shoulder as a throwing athlete. You should go light if you HAVE TO do the lift. And if you have the option I wouldn’t do the lift.


WRs/DBs- 205lbs


RB- 250lbs


LB- 265lbs


TE- 265lbs


OL/DL- 285lbs
