So I would say from a college coach perspective the two most important lifts are going to be squats & power cleans. Leg strength is obviously super important for any position and power/explosiveness as well. So squats & power cleans can really help you stand out to coaches if you have good numbers. So below, based on your position we will talk about some numbers that will really impress a college coach. These would be considered “good” for varsity level players. If you’re a freshman or sophomore this is what I’d shoot for if you’re not on varsity yet.

QB- Squat: 365lbs

Power Clean: 250lb

WR/DB- Squat: 355lbs

Power Clean: 235lbs

RB- Squat: 385lbs

Power Clean: 275lbs

LB- Squat: 395lbs

Power Clean: 285lbs

TE- Squat: 400lbs

Power Clean: 285lbs

OL/DL- Squat: 435lbs

Power Clean: 285lbs
