3 Tips To Be An Unstoppable WR
If you can master these three things you are going to be very hard to stop as a slot or a wideout. The first thing I want to talk about is route running. If you can understand what goes into running a good route you will be successful. Selling fade on everything and making all your routes look the same is essential, along with eliminating time spent at the top of the route and your acceleration out of the break. Those are the three best things you can do. Everyone is a good athlete in college so your technique and eliminating wasted motion is what gets you open.
The second thing I want to mention is having a high IQ. Knowing what the defense is going to do before they do it is essential for WRs. And I’m telling you right now, nothing is worse than a WR who just goes out there and runs. You need to understand defensive looks and what they are trying to accomplish. Get with your QBs and go over coverages and where he needs you to be.
And lastly, but definitely not least, your speed and explosion. If you want to be an unstoppable WR you need to be explosive and faster than most. You don’t need to be the fastest on the team but you need to have speed and explosion to hang in the collegiate level. If you don’t, it’s going to be easy for DBs especially if you don’t have size. If you want to improve your speed and explosion in the gym or if you don’t have access to a gym that’s still fine, click the link below for either our weight room speed plan or body weight speed plan ⬇️⬇️
