Max Lifts For D1 WRs

Below we will be discussing the max lifts that college coaches expect you to hit at the WR position. I hope this is able to help!

Also, if you play WR and would like a 2 month daily workout schedule to follow, checkout the link below! We give you 8 weeks of field route running workouts (sets & reps/video examples included), 8 weeks of WR specific gym workouts (sets/reps/examples includes) and a 1 Month speed development workout plan to do. Check it out here ⬇️⬇️⬇️

So we are going to break this into 4 lifting categories. I am going to leave out deadlift, even though I know some of you probably so deadlift. I just don’t believe in maxing out on that exercise. It can work areas that help you athletically, but I’ve seen SO many athletes injure themselves maxing out on this. I prefers trap bar deadlifts over straight bar because it’s less pressure on the lower back. If any of you have ever experienced a lower back injury like I have, you know it’s the most annoying and nagging injury. So please be safe when you lift.

Again, these are the numbers they generally expect you to hit when entering college. If you’re a younger player don’t worry, you have a lot of time left to get stronger.

Bench- 225lbs

Squat- 335lbs

Power Clean- 225lbs

Clean & Jerk- 215lbs
